You know morale is high in a workshop when a spontaneous challenge breaks out — in this case, an impromptu connector marker tower competition during the lunch break.
It certainly helps when the room is filled with creative minds. This group from The Electric Canvas, the team behind some of Australia’s most breathtaking light projections on iconic buildings, brought their blend of art and tech ingenuity to the training room.
For more than 15 years, one of my signature workshop touches has been scattering Faber-Castell Connector Markers around the room. They’re a small thing — but they often lead to bursts of colour, creativity, and even collaboration. And sometimes, like this time, a little friendly engineering.
What made this moment even better was the slide still showing on the screen: “How can you focus more on results with your team?”
It’s funny how sometimes the answer is right there in front of you — doing something lighthearted and playful is a way to focus on results. Because when people laugh together, share a challenge, and create something just for the fun of it, they reconnect. And that connection carries back into the real work.
Thanks to the amazing team from The Electric Canvas for bringing so much energy, creativity, and laughter to our Healthy and Cohesive Team Training and Breakthrough Time Management and Productivity Training. Watching your group in action was a reminder that even small moments can build stronger teams.
Faber-Castell Connector Markers for the win — again!
