What could become possible if your people spent less time doubting themselves and more time acting on what matters?

Perhaps someone has an idea they have never shared. A capable team member is holding back from a new responsibility. A leader knows a conversation needs to happen but keeps putting it off. Others may have settled into familiar ways of working, unsure whether they can achieve something more.

Our Fear Breakthrough Workshop invites your team to explore those moments—and the beliefs that sit behind them—in a fun, engaging and encouraging environment. Through guided reflection, practical mindset activities, meaningful conversations and an optional Board Breaking Activity, participants explore what is holding them back and identify a step they are ready to take.

An engaging experience with a clear purpose

For event planners and business leaders, it offers a shared experience with a clear purpose: helping people build confidence, support one another and connect personal insight with action.

You want your event to leave people feeling energised. You also want something useful to remain when everyone returns to work. This workshop brings those priorities together, giving participants opportunities to challenge familiar assumptions, recognise their strengths and make a meaningful commitment to themselves.

Challenge the beliefs that hold your people back

People can be talented, experienced and full of potential while still carrying thoughts such as:

  • “I’m not confident enough.”
  • “What if I get it wrong?”
  • “I’ve never been good at that.”
  • “Someone else would do it better.”
  • “That’s just the way I am.”

When these thoughts go unquestioned, they can shape the opportunities people pursue, the conversations they have and the goals they set.

Recognise and reframe limiting beliefs

Through our Fear Breakthrough Process©, participants learn to notice their patterns of self-talk and explore the stories they have come to believe about themselves. We invite them to consider where those stories may have come from, how they influence their choices and whether a more helpful perspective is available.

The aim is to help each person recognise where they have room to grow—and approach that growth with greater awareness, confidence and intention.

Envision a future worth working towards

We also explore what happens when people give themselves permission to imagine a different future. Through The Ultimate Goal Setting and Envisioning Process©, participants clarify what they want to move towards, consider possibilities beyond their current assumptions and identify practical steps that bring those goals closer.

That next step might be contributing more confidently in meetings, pursuing a development opportunity, starting a challenging task or asking for support. Each participant can connect the learning with something that matters in their own life or work.

What your team will explore

Throughout the workshop, your team will have opportunities to:

  • Identify limiting beliefs and recognise how they influence decisions and behaviour.
  • Challenge unhelpful self-talk and develop more constructive perspectives.
  • Explore practical ways to respond to fear and uncertainty.
  • Set meaningful goals and envision a future they want to work towards.
  • Draw encouragement from colleagues and practise supporting others.
  • Choose a specific action that puts their learning into practice.

The optional Board Breaking Activity

The optional Board Breaking Activity gives participants a memorable way to bring these ideas to life.

Volunteers write or symbolise their fears, limitations or perceived barriers on one side of a wooden board. On the other side, they capture the empowering  beliefs, possibilities or commitments they want to carry forward.

With preparation and guidance from our facilitators, participants then have the opportunity to attempt to break through their board.

The anticipation, focus and encouragement from colleagues can make this a powerful shared moment. A belief that previously felt abstract becomes something tangible to reflect on. Participants can consider what helped them attempt the challenge, how they responded to uncertainty and what support made a difference.

Carry the learning into everyday action

The learning continues through reflection: Where else could I apply that willingness to try? What would help me take my next step? How could I offer the same encouragement to someone on my team?

Participation is always a choice

Participation is entirely voluntary. Facilitators explain the activity and guide volunteers through preparation and technique. Team members can choose to  observe, encourage their colleagues and engage with the learning in a way that feels right for them.

The workshop is valuable with or without board breaking. Every participant can explore their mindset, reflect on their goals and identify an action they want to take.

Build courage through shared encouragement

There is also something meaningful about seeing colleagues encourage one another through a challenge. People get to experience the difference a supportive voice can make—and recognise their own ability to provide that support.

For a business leader, this creates useful conversations about how your team responds when someone is uncertain, trying something new or working towards a difficult goal. For an event planner, it provides an engaging shared experience with moments of reflection, participation and celebration.

Shape the workshop around your team and event

The Fear Breakthrough Workshop can be delivered as a standalone event or combined with another Breakthrough Corporate Training course. It can form part of a team development day, leadership event, conference or retreat, with the workshop shaped around your group and the outcomes you want to achieve.

When planning your session, we’ll discuss your people, the challenges they are facing and what you would like them to take away. Together, we can consider how the optional Board Breaking Activity fits your event.

We take skills from various martial arts to show every person how to harness their strength and focus it on breaking the board. Action time! Volunteers get the chance to break through their wooden board. This activity gives a sense of camaraderie and excitement as people witness their friends and colleagues smashing through their fears and limitations. Participants are told about the dangers and risks, and they must have signed a Voluntary Release Form.
  • Takeaways and Celebration – 5:00pm – 5:15 pm (15 Mins) – We will celebrate our success together and encourage each other on our individual and collective journeys together. We will then activate steps to implement the change.
