What really makes a team thrive? Beyond skills and expertise, it’s often about how we connect and communicate. Last week, I had the privilege of leading a Life Languages Communication Breakthrough Workshop with the talented team at Interface Landscapes. The stunning backdrop of the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast set the tone, but the real highlight was the team itself.
From the moment we began, the energy and camaraderie in the room were undeniable. This group doesn’t just excel at creating beautiful landscapes—they’re also eager to learn, grow, and build stronger connections. It was no surprise that so many resonated with the Doer Life Languages profile, given their drive to get results. But what truly stood out was the diversity of communication styles among the 40 participants and how these differences shape the way they work and interact.
Hearing from Tom Wilds, Director of Interface Landscapes, really brought the day into perspective. Tom said: “It opens everyone’s eyes to how we communicate with one another and what makes people tick… It’s really good to analyse yourself and then look at others too—it gives a much better understanding.”
The workshop was filled with moments that remind me why I love what I do: seeing lightbulb moments, shared laughter, and teams learning to connect on a deeper level. It’s such an honour to guide groups like this as they strengthen their communication and relationships—both in the workplace and beyond.
