Online training isn’t just a substitute for in-person sessions—it can be an absolute game-changer! 💥
Recently, I had the privilege of leading online trainings for 100 and 50 participants on topics like Resilience, Mental Health, Business Storytelling, and Public Speaking. We utilized the full suite of Zoom tools—breakout rooms, polls, emojis, and live chat discussions—to keep the experience interactive, engaging, and FUN. And the results? Feedback like, “I can’t believe 2 hours is up already!” and “The session was so engaging, I took away so much.”
Also, many of our clients have teams around Australia and New Zealand. Recently I ran a Art of Storytelling program online with a team in Japan, so by offering a Zoom or Microsoft Teams training we expand the possibility of connecting with more of our team members wherever they are in the world.
Research supports that well-designed virtual training can be as effective as in-person. A study by Stanford University found that virtual learning, when it incorporates interactive elements like breakout rooms and real-time discussions, significantly enhances focus, engagement, and retention rates. It may even outperform traditional methods in some cases by encouraging quieter participants to engage more freely.
While in-person sessions have their perks—like spontaneous social banter—online training offers flexibility, convenience, and the ability to create personalized, highly interactive learning experiences.
Let’s continue pushing the boundaries of virtual training to create experiences that are immersive, impactful, and lasting.
